You ever here of John Sharp? Check out his technique on wild horses.
I sat in on a John Lyons clinic until my boys break through seizures got the best of him and he started throwing up. We were near the back door and slipped out without to much drama. Luckily I new someone who went with his mare and I think he said a green horse, to something he put on in another state and he told me what was what.
I worked with several horsemen. I did have a idiot do something which killed one of my geldings. I was pretty upset with it.
First time on my gelding- work horse no drama. He uses no bit, and no saddle. I can stand up on him and he just whatevers me lol.
I learned some from a trick horse trainer I ran into. Some things from a rodeo entertainer and wish I could have taken him up on his offer to see his ranch..... learned some from the show horses, and cutting horses I worked with and owned one of each, there fun.
I've seen horrible things and down right cool things. More then likely I will continue to have horses, even if pets..... ;0)
